After co-leading the Catalan duo Cálido Home, Anna Andreu (born in Sant Quirze del Vallès, Barcelona) disappeared for two long years before returning with an amazing solo debut album titled ‘Els Mals Costums’ (Hidden Track Records, 2020). Now, together with the violinist-turned-drummer Marina Arrufat the couple present a warm and instantly classic album in Anna’s native Language Catalan, a detail the artist has found hard, but rewarding, admitting she can no longer hide behind her words. Feeling more exposed than ever, the artist and her delicate, skeleton like songs easily remind us of a twentieth century Maria del Mar Bonet or a our most renowned storytellers (Joan Miquel Oliver), either way, she has come to stay. After presenting her debut in Barcelona before 800 people this summer and already having sold her first 1000 vinyls in just three months since its release (without even starting her tour), Anna is already preparing her next steps with the release of two new songs this autumn and a second album in 2021.
