The East Coast Music Association (ECMA) representing upwards of 1500 members, is a not for profit membership-based organization serving the music industry in Atlantic Canada. The ECMAs mandate is to develop, advance and celebrate East Coast Canadian music, its artists and its industry professionals throughout the region and around the world. We advocate for our members to ensure they can sustain music careers while based in Canada’s Atlantic region. ECMA is predominantly composed of a broad range of members from Atlantic Canada and other regions of Canada, reflecting a variety of sectors within the creative industries.
Celebrating its “35th anniversary” in 2023, the association presents the ECMAs (a five-day signature event) that takes part in one of the five regions (NB, PE, NL, NS,CB) in the Atlantic Provinces on a scheduled rotation. The ECMAs have grown to include the Business Development Conference, Festival and Awards and produces a world-class International Export Buyers Program with delegates attending from around the world. ECMA also offers regional, national and international export activities and educational programs for its members.
